Description

Proving Path is a singleplayer 2D Metroidvania game using pixel art style. The player explores multiple areas according to the typical Metroidvania style, traversing back and forth through the map, finding secrets, and discovering new places again and again with newly acquired skills. There are some dangers to overcome - you fight a lot of enemies and have to navigate through the big world without losing the correct path. The focus is on exploring the areas themselves, but platforming and the fight against enemies are not dismissed. Proving Path is a self-contained game that allows you to play in several areas (divided into rooms), offers story and travel with NPCs, and rounds the whole thing off with complete and polished gameplay and an end the game with challenging boss. Proving Path is created as our final game project as part of the MultiMediaTechnology education at Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.

History

In Proving Path you play as Tabea, an adventurer who is on the road with her companions Leon and Finn. Together they explore new areas and find their way through the desert towards the jungle, where an old temple awaits them. They help each other on their journey to uncover the land's mysteries.

About Team Proving Path

Boilerplate
The Team Proving Path consists of 7 young game developers who created the game with the name - you guessed it: Proving Path. Our team was formed during the MultiMediaTechnology training at the University of Applied Science FH Salzburg. We consist of one GameDesigner, two Programmers, three PixelArtsits, and one Soundartist. We don't have a registered company (yet) and just created our game as part of our studies.
